Cleaning an airport terminal without disrupting it

Airports are among the most demanding cleaning environments anywhere: high footfall, long hours, security controls and passengers everywhere. The work has to fit around the operation, never the other way round.

Follow the passenger flows

Terminals have rhythms: early-morning departure peaks, quiet mid-afternoons, late-evening arrivals. Cleaning programmes are built around these rhythms, with the heaviest work scheduled into the quietest windows.

High-touch points, washrooms and seating areas need attention throughout the day, so frequencies reflect passenger volumes rather than the clock alone.

Security and access come first

Restricted-area work is subject to airport authorisation, site induction and the operator's security requirements. These are arranged before mobilisation, and the cleaning team works within them at all times.

Working areas are segregated and agreed with the operations team, so cleaning never becomes an obstacle to passengers or staff.

One partner, many services

Terminals need more than cleaning: floor care, internal glazing, entrance and forecourt cleaning, fabric maintenance and HVAC support all sit alongside the daily specification. Coordinating them through one FM partner means one programme, one point of contact and one set of records.
